Double Crochet Lap Blanket - Scraps

In May, I became driven to use as much scrap yarn as possible. I started with this simple and very colorful lap blanket, edged with black.

I would like to know what size is a lab blanket and how many stiches it is i know your size is 38x51 just need to know stich count thank you

Hi, Pam - I haven't been checking email or my blog regularly. I try to make lap blankets about 35x45, but sometimes they're wider and sometimes they're longer and sometimes they're both wider and longer. It depends on the pattern used for the blanket.

Stitch count can vary and there's no set number. Make a test strip of about 4 rows of double crochets and see if that is what you want. If not, rip it out and make it longer or shorter, as desired.
