A short post during lunch...

Not much is or has been going on. The weather has improved in that there is sunshine instead of rain a majority of days (yippee!). The front and backyard gardens are looking great! I took photos to post, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I've been working on crochet projects and have recently finished two...

The blanket for my son's girlfriend Lauren was finished on March 27 but photos weren't taken for a few days and I haven't had the umph to post photos for each of the 35 squares and a few of the complete blanket.

And last night I finished the Remember the Kittens lap blanket I started last week. Photos will be taken soon.

I finished the body of the Jazzy Beach Wrap cardigan I was making for me and got one sleeve done. I pinned the sleeve to the body, put it on, and decided I looked way too fat in it - the horizontal stripes and a flare under the arms around the chest area are very unflattering! I was really looking forward to wearing this, but I draw the line at wearing something that so obviously makes me look larger than I am! So, that project is stalled until I decide whether I want to finish it or try to pull it out, but the yarn is Bernat Boucle and it frequently snags or breaks when pulling out stitches. I'm at an impasse.

Last Friday, I brought a small cute project to work to keep there to crochet during the needle arts group lunchtime meeting each Friday: Ted and Tina Turtle, a pair of stuffed turtles.

Something cool: I was asked to make an afghan or something to donate to the college for an auction that will be held in September. I'm thinking of making a shawl or lap blanket because a full-size blanket takes so much time. Maybe a blanket with the college logo... I'm still thinking on it.
