Was considering the Elann sample skein subscription. Is it worth it? The idea is intriguing. Are you pleased with what you've gotten so far?
Hi, Susan - I was just thinking about this the other day! Will I sign up for another sample skein subscription?
I'm not a fan of fancy yarns, although I have bought a supply of Fun Fur and other yarns that were on sale in preparation for the day I play around with Freeform Crochet.
The sample skeins are small - enough yarn for a headband I'd say. I also plan to use these with Freeform Crochet someday.
$52.50 is a high price to pay for these small bits of yarn that you can't really make anything useful from (unless you go Freeform - or, of course, buy full skeins of that yarn and hope the dye lot matches).
I don't think I'll do it again, but I'm not disappointed that I subscribed this time.
